On April 27,2011 a historic tornado outbreak took place in the South, or what they refer to as "Dixie Alley". No place got it worse than Tuscaloosa, AL. As of now, the death toll is at 340 and still climbing, making it the 2nd deadliest tornado outbreak in nearly 90 years. The 1925 tornado outbreak still ranks 1st. Yes, that makes this outbreak worse than the 1974 Super Outbreak, which among meteorological cirlces is the outbreak by which all others are compared.
